December First Project

DCDD and LGCW are in the final preparation stages for the world premiere of Quilt Panels by Robert Maggio. Two years in the making, the December First Project will be the largest production for both our organizations. A definite milestone in our creative efforts, this serves as our living memorial to those who have died of HIV and AIDS. There is an open call for community members and all choral group members to participate in this exciting work. Please contact us at either 202-269-4846, www.dcdd.org, or www.lgcw.org for info on joining.

Band Camp 2003
Another Band Camp has come and gone, and it was a total success. Attendance was an all-time high this year, and made for a more productive weekend. Rehearsals, rehearsals, and more rehearsals gave the Symphonic Band and DC Swing! an edge to lead them into stellar performances this season. Of course there was also fun time. The clarinet section won Bandie Feud, and the community theater performances were a riot. And the costumes&.Cant wait til next year!

Volunteers needed
If you dont play an instrument, dont think you cant join DCDD. In fact, if it werent for our Band Aids, we couldnt run as an organization, prepare for concerts, travel abroad, or march in parades. All our Band Aids fulfill a vital role in making DCDD what it is. So please consider volunteering, even if you dont play an instrument.
