The December 1st Project - Monday 12/1/2003
|
You will not want to miss this World AIDS Day world premiere of a new
work,
Quilt Panels (for my love, for my grief, for my letting go). Composed by Robert Maggio for chorus and symphonic band, this full-length work is inspired by
The AIDS
Memorial Quilt. Both DCDD and LGCW commissioned Mr. Maggio to write the piece.
This is a concert performance that you will not want to miss. Great music. Great cause. Great community.
For tickets: 301-405-ARTS, www.claricesmithcenter.umd.edu. For group
rates,
contact eayala@umd.edu, 301-405-6126.

DCDD in the Community
|
Mary Arras, one of DCDD's great trumpet players, represented DCDD on Sept 15th by
playing taps at a wreath laying ceremony at the Congressional Cemetery. The
wreath was to honor all the gay and lesbian servicemen and women that
gave
their lives for our country.
