DCDD is hosting another open house during the Symphonic Bands first rehearsal. Artistic Directors from all the bands will be there to answer your questions. Open house is Monday, August 16, 2004 at the Church of the Reformation at 2nd and East Capitol, NE (212 E. Cap). It is near Capitol South Metro Station and free parking is nearby

Fall Concert Rehearsals Starting

DCDD rehearsals for the 2004 Fall Symphonic Concert Season begin August 16. Mark your calendars and remember we have a new rehearsal venue. Its the Church of the Reformation at 2nd and East Capitol, NE (212 E. Cap St.) Its Metro accessible from Union Station, Eastern Market, or South Capitol. Free parking nearby at the Supreme Court.

Nominations are being taken

Are you, or someone you know interested in helping out an organization that has brought so much to the community? Then how about nominating yourself or someone you know as a DCDD board member. You don't have to be an instrumentalist to run as a candidate, and you don't have to be versed in politics. All you need is a willingness to help out with a group of people dedicated to making DCDD available to all for years to come. Elections are in September, and there are openings for all positions. Help with Committees
|

There are several committees that help DCDD, and accomplish the many tasks needed for this organization to run. From placing ads with local papers to helping set up the stage for concerts. Committees need a chairperson, and members to help out. Please consider joining so that the DCDD can continue being the premiere community band in the Nations Capital. Learn about the committees by visiting the Lambda Room and searching under the members section.

Help us recruit more members to the band. Many of the people who have joined did so because you have asked them. So next time youre with friends, or meeting new people, tell them about DCDD. Rehearsals for the 2004 Fall Symphonic Concert Season begin August 16.

DCDD Board Meeting

|
The DCDD Board of Directors meets every second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is August 10 at 7:00pm at the Fannie Mae Headquarters. 4000 Wisconsin Ave. NW, North Tower, Suite 1. Near the Tenleytown Metro station on the red line.
